The sale of the Royal Motors building in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills 1998

The sale of one of the most expensive automotive properties in the country took years to complete. 9735 Wilshire Blvd, in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills in 1995, was one of the most exciting deals of my career, however the building was bifurcated by a prescriptive easement and the owner of the other half of the building was a very mercurial psychiatrist who was literally crazy himself and refused to sell his half of the building for any price! I spent years waiting him out and for the opportunity to make a deal with him and then out of the blue one day I met a fellow agent who had a great relationship with the Doctor and the epic drama began in earnest. I cannot go into all the details on how this deal was made but to put it mildly he told me they should make a movie about my life and how I “talked” him out of his property. In the end, I made the largest commission of my career and took an incredible vacation to Cancun and had the greatest time of my life! Details about this deal: we sold it for $10 million dollars in 1998. 22,000 ft medical building with Royal Motors on the ground floor. Today the value would be $75 million!
